ORPU Pumpenfabrik GmbH
ORPU is a specialist for niche applications in the waste water technology. We develop and manufacture high-performance and efficient pumps and compressors. People, technology and the environment determine our daily actions.
We want to fulfil the requests of our customers with special and individual solutions. That′s why all of our employees consistently think and act with our customer′s best interest in mind. Our innovations aren't limited to just attractive technical solutions, as we also focus on the longevity and sustainability of our products while optimising the use of resources.
In addition to a range of high-quality pumps and compressors, we also offer dependable project accompaniment and other well-developed services not only in Germany, but all over the world.
In 1936 the company Hellfrich, Oranienburger Pumpenfabrik was founded.
A re-establishing under the name ORPU took place in 1949. The company manufactured and repaired pumps and hydrophor plants.
In 1955 ORPU merged with the company Elektromaschinen- und Apparatebau to VEB metallwerk Oranienburg. New pumps and compressors were developed and manufactured. At the beginning of the 1970s integration in the VEB combine Pumpen und Verdichter Halle took place.
After the founding of the limited liability company in 1990 the company was privatized at January 1st, 1993 under the name ORPU Oranienburger Pumpen, Verdichter und Maschinenbau GmbH.
